6 Ways To Be Creative When You Can't Feel Inspired

We've all been there - we all know what its like when you just can't feel as inspired and creative as you usually do.  Here are 6 tips to get you back into your "happy place" and start feeling more creative.
Go For A Walk
Creative thinking increases 60% whilst taking a walk. Stanford research proves that talking a taking a walk improves creative thinking by up to 60% - http://news.stanford.edu/news/2014/april/walking-vs-sitting-042414.html
Read A Book
Flicking through even just a few pages can get your creativity moving again. Heres a list of books to start looking at.
Listen To A Podcast
Now i've been ranting and raving about podcasts ever since whenever.  I think they can be incredibly inspiring and for some people a lot easier to digest that reading a book.  There’s a podcast for almost anything. Podcasts are great for car rides, but also for a music replacement while you work. Instead of listening to your favourite music stream, check out a podcast that will bring new insight as you work.
Pinterest (& Other Creative Sites)
While Pinterest is arguably the world’s largest inspiration site, there are several other places that may suite your industry best. For designers like me, that’s Dribble or Behance. For you, that might mean TechCrunch, Mashable, or Convince and Convert.
Start An Inspiration Folder
“Your job is to collect good ideas. The more good ideas you collect, the more you can choose from to be influenced by.” That’s what Austin Kleon said in his awesome book, Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative.
Ask New Questions

Sometimes, we can hit a creative road block simply because we’re asking the wrong question or not asking any questions at all.

When we assume we know how to solve the problem, we ignore the several other possibilities that could be the idea we’re looking for. Instead of taking the assumed, common approach, start by asking questions and let that direct you to your creative inspiration.
